I met Amanda Shrader in 2022 at one of her Brunch with Beauties events, and I walked in not knowing quite what to expect. What I found was a room full of women being genuinely real with each other — sharing stories, laughing, showing up for strangers like they were old friends. I got to share my jewelry. I made connections that stayed with me. And I made a dear friend.
Amanda is the heart behind The Skirt Project, a movement built on something deceptively simple: that women are better when they're in community with each other. Through portrait photography, networking, and spaces designed for real conversation, she has created something rare — a place where vulnerability is welcome and encouragement isn't just a word people throw around.
The moment I met her, I knew I wanted to be part of it somehow.
Since then, Amanda and I have collaborated on more projects than I can count, and her friendship means more to me than I know how to say. The Skirt Project Collection is my way of paying homage to what she's built — and to every woman who has walked into one of her spaces and walked out feeling a little more like herself.
Each piece in this collection was made with that woman in mind. I genuinely believe the right pair of earrings finds the right person at exactly the right moment. My hope is that these go home with whoever needs them — as a small, wearable reminder that she is seen, she belongs, and she is not doing this alone.
