  • Each piece is handcrafted using a thoughtful mix of materials, including polymer clay, resin, acrylics, gold leaf, and other pigmented art mediums that bring texture and color to life. I also use hypoallergenic findings and components to ensure comfort for sensitive ears. Every material is chosen with care to create jewelry that’s not only beautiful but also wearable and lasting.

  • All earring accessories are suitable for sensitive ears. We use components that are either 14K, 18K, or 24K gold plated, sterling silver, or surgical stainless steel. Larger metal components are also coated in a preserving wax the creates a hard protective coating.

  • Polymer clay is surprisingly strong and flexible when properly cured, making it an excellent material for long-lasting jewelry. While lightweight and comfortable to wear, it’s also resistant to cracking under normal use. That said, like any handcrafted accessory, it should be handled with care—avoid bending, dropping, or exposing it to extreme heat or moisture to help preserve its beauty for years to come.

  • Yes! Comfort is a priority in every piece I create. Polymer clay is naturally lightweight, and on average, Anam Cara Clay Goods earrings weigh less than a U.S. quarter—typically between 2 to 4 grams. Even styles that include additional metal components remain easy to wear. Whether you're dressing up or keeping it casual, you can enjoy bold, beautiful designs without the weight.

  • Caring for your polymer clay jewelry is simple and helps keep it looking beautiful for years to come. Keep your pieces clean and dry, avoid exposure to water, oils, perfumes, or prolonged sunlight, and store them safely when not in use. Though durable, polymer clay is still handmade and should be handled with care—especially pieces with delicate shapes or added components.

A Note from Julie:

Each piece of Anam Cara Clay Goods jewelry is handmade with care, which means no two pieces are ever exactly the same—and that’s part of their charm! While I do my best to represent each product accurately in the photos, slight variations in color, pattern placement, or texture may occur. These natural differences are a reflection of the handcrafted process and do not affect the quality, value, or durability of your jewelry.

If you have any questions or concerns about a specific piece, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m always happy to chat—just send me a message directly at anamcaraclay@gmail.com.
