She Bloomed

I saw something in my mom that day I'd very rarely seen in my life. She really smiled. Like whole face lights up kind of smile.

Some days feel simple while they're happening.

And then you look back and realize — that was actually everything. Last Mother's Day weekend, my mom and I stepped in front of Amanda's camera together for the Skirt Project.

What happened that day — the smile I'd never seen before, the skirt named after her — I've been carrying it with me ever since. This episode is my love letter to her. And to every woman who is waiting to be seen.
